Race 5 & 6: Witold Rozak and Jeroen Jennen in good position before final race

Race 5 gave the opportunity to Witold Rozak (POL) to increase his lead on the overall results, socring 1000 points and completing the task with 137 km/h. You can rewatch the full race above, with Normen Schindowski and Antoine Havet.

Witold was closely followed by Jeroen Jennen (BEL) and Hervé Forette (FRA) when crossing the finish line! It is the first podium during an FAI event for the French man, who only started flying regularly on Condor a few months ago. A huge step in his eSports career!

Witold and Jeroen are both well known pilots with several wins and podium in their pedigrees. They both competed to the 1st Virtual SGP in September 2021.

Task description: 251km

Start:001 START Boraas (134 m.) - TP 1:Goeteborg Landve (155 m.) - TP 2:Varberg-Getteron (3 m.) - TP 3:Timmele (188 m.) - TP 4:999 Gaanghester (223 m.) - Finish:000 Boras Goal (179 m.)

The pilots had the chance to follow the west coast of Sweden during this flight, offering the viewers of the livestreaming a great view of the nordic country. The beautiful islands, forest and lakes make racing particularly loved by the pilots and the fans; and it brings some additional excitement with only a few outlanding fields available.

Race 6

Normen Schindowski and Ben Fest were commenting the 281km race on Youtube, Twitch and Facebook. The pilots were able to discover a new area of Sweden, and headed towards the north west area of Boras.

Jeroen Jennen (BEL) was one more time on the podium… but this time winning the race!

It was a tight finish between Frank Schwerdtfeger (GER) and Ernesto Durigon (ARG) who scored their first podium in an FAI race as well! The gap between the pilots was only about 5 seconds!! A must watch for the ones who missed it! You may review the arrival at 02:22:00 above!

Ernesto is the first South American pilot to score a podium during an official FAI eSports event!

After race 6, Witold Rozak and Jeroen Jennen are in good position to qualify. Arne Martin Guettler is closing the gap and will try to do his best on the final race tomorrow.
