AFRICA Qualifiers - 3rd FAI Virtual Sailplane Grand Prix

We are thrilled to announce the Africa Qualifiers for the 3rd FAI Virtual Sailplane Grand Prix (VSGP)! This is your chance to showcase your skills, compete against the best virtual glider pilots in Africa, and secure your spot in the prestigious Grand Final.

Event Details

Dates:
- Week 1: September 2 (Tuesday), September 4 (Thursday)
- Week 2: September 9 (Tuesday), September 11 (Thursday)
- Week 3: September 16 (Tuesday), September 18 (Thursday)

Local Time:19:00 to 21:00 (17:00 to 19:00 UTC)

Organizers: FAI VG and local organizers (TBC)

Format:
- The Africa Qualifiers will consist of 6 races over 3 weeks, with one race held on Tuesday and one on Thursday each week.
- Pilots will compete in a series of challenging races, with points accumulating over the multiple races to determine the top performers.
- The top pilots from the Africa Qualifiers will secure direct qualification to the Grand Final.

Registration and Rules

Registration:
- Registration for the Africa Qualifiers is FREE.

Rules:
- All pilots must adhere to the VSGP Rules and Pilot's Handbook, which are available on our website: https://www.virtualgliding.fai.org/3rd-fai-virtual-sgp
- Pilots must be citizens or residents of a country within the Africa region to be eligible to compete in the Africa Qualifiers.
- Each pilot must choose one glider for all races and use it consistently throughout the competition.
- The same Notams and rules will apply to all events to ensure consistency and fairness.

Reminders:
- Fair Play: All pilots must compete fairly and adhere to the rules and guidelines set forth by the FAI Virtual Gliding.
- Sportsmanship: We encourage all pilots to exhibit good sportsmanship and respect for fellow competitors.
- Preparation: Familiarize yourself with the rules and ensure your equipment is ready for the races.
